Tread on Trafficking

Tread on Trafficking is a fundraiser for Love146, a group that works to end child sex trafficking around the world through prevention, aftercare, research and advocacy. ToT participants raise money by being sponsored to walk, run, bike or swim. Sponsors can donate by the mile or the hour, or with a flat amount.

So how am I participating? Well, I will not swim, because I don’t have easy access to a pool. I will not bike, because my bike was a gift on my 10th birthday and isn’t currently fit for riding. I will not run, because God doesn’t want me to. (Seriously. If he did, he would have given me different lungs.) Subsequently, I am planning on walking 89 miles (or 1.46 miles per day) between May 1st and June 30th.

Todd will also be walking 89 miles, as I would like a bodyguard while walking the mean streets of Wichita. Stop laughing, he really is going to be my bodyguard. (Unless you know another bodyguard I could hire who will accept my bons mots as payment.)

Todd will not be accepting donations because I need all the money I can get and I don’t want him stealing any of my sponsors.

You can sponsor me by going to http://bit.ly/hayleytot.

You can follow my journey along the sidewalks of Wichita here on my blog or on Twitter (@hayleyToT). Yes, I care enough about this cause that I broke down and joined Twitter. Please help me reach my goal so it won’t be for naught.
